Structural/Substantive/Developmental
This is paragraph-level editing. I'll take a look at your project (be it a book, informational pamphlet, or business plan), and recommend large-scale changes to improve clarity, order, and quality of content. 

Line/Style
In this type of editing, I'll polish up your language by getting rid of jargon and recommending line-by-line changes to focus your message.

Copy Editing
This stage entails looking specifically at grammar, consistency of mechanics and facts (this is not fact-checking), spelling, and punctuation.

​Proofreading
After formatting and layout are complete, I'll look at your final pages and check for small mistakes, omissions, and deviations from design and style that survived previous edits.

Locating copyright information can be frustrating and tedious. If you are working on a project that includes proprietary images or text, I'll help you find, negotiate, and secure permission for their use in your work. 

Writing

Author biographies, activity sections, and jacket copy can make your book more market-viable. They're smaller writing tasks, but require clear, succinct language for maximum impact. I'll deliver content written for your readership and genre, so you can worry less about the small stuff. 

 Manuscript Evaluation/
​Editorial Reports

If you have a book-length writing piece, I will read it and advise changes based on your vision  for the work (intended genre, readership, market, etc.). You will receive an editorial report detailing your manuscript's strengths, weaknesses, and general feasibility. The report will include a list of specific recommendations. In addition, I will return your manuscript with comments embedded in-text, so you can see exactly where my recommendations would be most effective.
Part of this service entails answering a set number of follow-up questions that you may have after reading my advice.
